Supported Devices

🖥️

Desktop

Windows, macOS, and Linux desktops deliver the full Glitch experience. Supported browsers include Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. Pair with a wired controller for the most responsive gameplay, or use your keyboard for quick sessions.

📱

Mobile

Play on iPhone with Safari or Android with Chrome. Glitch provides on-screen touch controls that overlay the game, or connect a Bluetooth gamepad like a DualSense or 8BitDo for a console-quality handheld experience on the go.

📲

Tablet

iPad and Android tablets offer a large-screen touch experience that's perfect for RPGs and strategy games. The extra screen real estate makes touch controls comfortable, and Bluetooth gamepad support turns your tablet into a portable console.

📺

Smart TV

Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, and Android TV all include built-in browsers capable of running Glitch. Pair a Bluetooth gamepad with your TV and play retro games from the couch — no console hardware required. It's the ultimate living room setup.

🎮

Handheld

The Steam Deck's desktop mode includes a full browser that runs Glitch beautifully. Any handheld PC or device with a Chromium-based browser can connect to your Glitch Server, turning it into a portable retro gaming powerhouse with built-in controls.

🍓

Raspberry Pi

Use a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 as an ultra-affordable thin client. Run Chromium in kiosk mode, point it at your Glitch Server, and connect a USB or Bluetooth controller. It's a dedicated retro gaming station for under $50 in hardware.

Gamepad Compatibility

Glitch uses the browser's built-in Gamepad API to detect and map controllers automatically. Most popular controllers work out of the box with zero configuration. Connect via USB or Bluetooth — Glitch recognizes the controller and maps buttons to the appropriate retro platform layout instantly.

🟢

Xbox Controllers

Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Elite controllers. Wired USB or Bluetooth. Fully mapped out of the box.

🔵

PlayStation DualSense

DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers over USB or Bluetooth. Haptic feedback supported where browsers allow.

🟠

8BitDo

8BitDo Pro 2, SN30 Pro, and other models. Retro-styled controllers built for exactly this kind of gaming.

Generic HID

Any USB or Bluetooth controller that registers as a standard HID gamepad will work. Custom button mapping available in settings.
