The agreement between you and Glitch Gaming System.
Effective March 1, 2026
By accessing or using any Glitch software, services, or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Glitch provides self-hosted server software that enables users to organize, manage, and stream retro video games from their own hardware to client devices via WebRTC. Glitch does not provide, distribute, or host game files (ROMs, ISOs, or disc images). Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use any game files loaded onto their Glitch Server.
You may create one account per person. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@glitchonline.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree to use Glitch for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:
Glitch Pass is available as a monthly ($4.99/mo) or annual ($49.99/yr) subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Glitch for Life ($199.99) is a one-time purchase granting a perpetual license to all current and future Glitch Pass features. This license is non-transferable and tied to your account. Founding 500 members receive additional exclusive perks as announced.
All payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Contact billing@glitchonline.com.
The Glitch Game Store allows independent developers to sell and distribute homebrew and indie retro-style games. Revenue is split 80% to the developer and 20% to Glitch, processed via Stripe Connect. Developers are responsible for ensuring their content does not infringe any third-party copyrights or intellectual property rights. Glitch reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.
The Glitch software, branding, website, and documentation are proprietary and owned by Glitch Gaming System, protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Glitch incorporates certain open-source emulator cores from the libretro project, which are governed by their respective licenses (GPL, etc.). Your personal content — save states, configurations, and library metadata — belongs to you.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Glitch does not warrant that every game will be compatible with every platform or that the streaming experience will be error-free. Glitch is not responsible for the legality, accuracy, or content of user-loaded game files.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glitch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Glitch in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Glitch may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through account settings. Upon termination, your right to use Glitch cloud services ceases, but your locally installed Glitch Server software and personal data remain on your hardware under your control.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
